Very well done guys, You did a really great job on this one. this really captured the vibe of the original; I can't help but miss the wacky electrolead though. great stuff ;]

DrMackFoxx responds:

Ah. I can understand that. Granted, you can't do warbling notes very easily on piano and pitch-bending is out of the question. ^_^; Still, I'm glad to see that you enjoyed this song quite a bit! Thank you very much for the great review. :)

really great work here, loving this tune man ;]. awesome choice of leads & great utilization of D Blue Glitch as well. Keep this stuff up ;]

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed how it sounded ^_^

Pretty sick little groove :]

I actually really dug the overall feel of this right off the get-go; The heavy echo/ambient feeling that this has really hit a sweet spot with me, and the percussion actually seemed to suit the mix well... despite its power in comparison to your softer instruments. I also really like what you did with your heavy delay effects as well; really quite brilliant :]

If I could change anything here:
- I would probably add more percussion instruments in between the Hat/ Snare/ Kick mixture here, and I would pull that snare back a bit (it does sound great but it's just a bit too overpowering here)

Overall Really chilled, I enjoyed this piece a lot.

OK, keep the levels of the drums down and add some more interesting percussion. Thanks for the review! :)

Really diggin the Deep-House feel!

I really like the groove that you've created here dude, and that break into piano/ ambiance... forget about it; This is some quality shit.

The drums sound great, I love the deep kicks and deadmau5y percs. The Steinway soundfont used sounds beautiful and pure; only to be completely complemented by a wonderful saw melody that really seems to seek up from behind everything very well.

Amazing work as always Matt; I'm sure the finished product will be completely stunning.

Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it! I indeed was going for a more deep house feel with this idea. I hope to get this done sooooon :P

a little too simple

This song is not unpleasant on the ears, and has an okay feel to it...
BUT THERE ARE NO DYNAMICS

All of these instruments are really simplistic, and unmastered.
There is no build up, there is no break; this is just a sample pattern after pattern composition, like a slide show of sound...

My biggest advice, try to think about your song as a whole before you produce it; surprise people, and add a bit of uniqueness to your compositions.

overall okay, but you can do better

Morph94 responds:

It's not meant to be 'dynamic'. The title says it all- it's Simple, and it's Clean.

Really interesting intro.

I knew I was in for a treat right from the get-go, as this song is super unique!
I really liked the way you had your lead dynamically sweep, and then leave that little bet of resonance to ring out; really creative.

Then comes the drums & bass;
I really like how full your bass samples sound here, and I really think they complement the rest of the mixed instruments well.

Things to take a second look at:
- I think your hats and other misc percs could have been a bit better sounding at the drum break; It was a shame to hear the low quality stuff bogging down the very beautiful mix of bass/ sidechaining/ and kick drum.

Overall; this is really cool, but still needs a few things
but that's just my opinion :p
