This is pretty dope!

I love the drum loops used in this one, and that accordion sample lead thing is sick.
The breaks in this sound great also, I loved the clarity of the samples.
The mastering was a big plus in this one as well (very nice work).

Couple things bugged me though
- A lot of this song sounded (Loopy)
- The lead samples that come in at about 1:00 sound really muddy and spread out.

Great work nonetheless!

Thanks for the awesome review! :)

Madness...

This loop is interesting, and maybe with the right changes.... could work.

As it stands though; many things need work here.

The melody here is off bro... no matter how you slice it.
The drums are lame, the drum pattern is quiet, and there is no background support from any other instruments.

I recommend rethinking the melody, and re-writing it to sound a little more "Melodically-mad"?

Just a thought

Good Effort

Very smooth tune!

Loved the choice of instruments in this song, very well chosen and mixed.
The drum kit you used for this sounds super tight, the leads sound crisp, and most of all the sub-bass sounds fantastic! Also, the ambiance behind this one was incredible!

Aside from the technical elements of this composition, I really enjoyed the fast-paced feel behind everything.

All in all
This track is pretty fckin awesome
Incredible effort

Thanks again. :D I'm glad you enjoyed the track so much. I enjoyed making it. Thanks for reviewing. :)

Same Review; Alternate Ending

I loved the orchestral opening accompanied with the piano; makes you feel as if something huge is starting. A master-plan taking effect, and spreading across the globe; or even as if the whole world is joining together to defeat a great evil.
The guitar work in this was also great! Loved the note harmonization, and not-too-harsh tones as well.
The mastering on this must have been some pretty beastly work, but it sounds like you blended all of your samples real and artificial, very nicely :)

There's not much about this track that I would change.
This is pretty incredible, and definitely close movie soundtrack material!

I noticed this version was shorter than the original as well; personally, I like the longer one.
It seems much more professional sounding, and dynamic.

Great Work!

Thanks for taking the time to review both! I just put this one up, in case people wanted a different ending, my favourite is the other version too.

Sounds like a good work in progress! :D

The intro was really cool and unique! I loved the guitar sampling mixed with the piano and background ambiance. The whole general feel of everything was really clean and professional sounding up to about 2:00. after that it just sounds like you let the track die, and didn't come back to finish it.
I liked how the beat smoothly progressed from soft to hard and I really expected more after the driving kick drum came in at 1:20something.

This track sounds like it has some potential!
It just needs a little more work towards the end, and you already said that yourself!
So now that you know the solution to your problem
Apply it to the song! :D

Great effort!

Interesting

This track was pretty different, but I still liked the groove you've made up here.
Makes me think of some bad-ass strutting down the street in the middle of the night in the city. Suddenly mr.badass is confronted by some thugs on the avenue, he charges his power and destroys the opposing foes one by one in hand to hand combat!.

The instruments chosen for this song were pretty cool, and i liked the unique drum beat you came up with here as well :)

I didn't like the intro too much though :(
The drum samples sounded really dead and choppy.
Maybe layer another drum phrase there?
Just an idea :)

Great effort!

Yeah, i was trying to go for a more compressed drum sound at the beginning but I guess I got a little sidetracked. But anyway glad you liked it!

Wow!!

This song is great!
I haven't heard new dance music this good in the portal for a long time!
I really liked the heavy driving Bass and Drums in this. LOVED THE DRUMS OMG.
The leads were kind of out-there, but generally speaking everything worked together pretty well. The lead at the very beginning of the song with the echo effect on it is pretty dope, and the break at 41 seconds almost reminded me of Infected Mushroom before the lead synth came in!

suggestions:
Change up some of your lead choices before 2:45.
Master down the highs on the leads you choose a tad more.

Great Effort!

Good Ideas, I was thinking the same thing. Right now mixing it better than it is might be beyond my capacity to gauge with my ears but it's something I'll look into now that you've pointed it out. It's hard to get them to stand out without having them hog the soundspace!

THX 4 review.

Smooth and atmospheric!

The sounds in this song were very chill and relaxing :) almost reminded me of an Adult Swim Bump artist named Tycho for a second :) (That's a huge complement, take my word for it.) :D
The bass tones in this track were also very chill and relaxing.
Definitely didn't see the drum break coming at 3:45, but the transition was pretty cool. The clav sample you used here reminded me of hazy maze cave from Super Mario 64 :)

Only thing i would change; maybe add a little more to your first drum break, and bring out your bass kick a little more.

All in all
Great track.
Super chill!

Thanks for the compliment! It does sound like an AS bump, now that you brought it up. I'll continue tweaking this one, for sure. Thanks for taking time out to write a thoughtful review, I appreciate it!

Thanks for the review! This is the only song where I'm actually comfortable with the guitar combined with the strings. I've never been able to do it well before this.

Powerful, Emotional, Beautiful...

Sometimes the trials life takes us through help us grow, and in many more ways than one. Many times loss, heartbreak, and emotional devastation can really inspire some brilliant music. This piece is no exception...

The string ensemble and powerful drum beats really sound great here.
The piano samples and melodies sound crisp and clean.
The airy bass-sounding pads also really helped with the progression of the build nicely.

Couple things I would have done differently with this one though.
After the climax The drums you used sound kinda fake, and don't really drive the beat too well.
Also
Take another look at the mastering after the break as well!
Some parts are slightly clipping.

This song is very well done, and definitely an underdog submission!
Great Effort!
